Today, we are going to share a detail tour plan of three beautiful cities of India- Amritsar,
Shimla and Manali. If you want this particular tour package from

Best time to visit these places is from October to June.
Now, let’s begin. Day-1
Here we start our tour from Amritsar. Amritsar can be reached by train, bus or air. The city
has a railway station which is directly connected to all other major cities of India.
The nearest airport of the town is Sri Guru Ram Das Jee International airport of Amritsar
which is just 11km away from the city centre. Since Amritsar is situated on National Highway
1, it is well connected by road to the other parts of the country.
First go to visit the Attari-Wagha border and watch the famous beating retreat ceremony
there. It is a daily military ritual that BSF of India and Pakistan Rangers of Pakistan
security force practice daily since 1959. In the evening try to visit the Golden Temple
once. The place looks like heaven when all the lights are lightened up at night. At this
time you can see a special ceremony where the Holy Granth-Sahib is taken back to a vault
from the temple inside. Day-2
On day-2 of your tour first visit Durgiana Temple. This temple is a look-alike of the
famous Golden Temple. Mainly Goddess Durga is worshipped here. Next go to visit Jallianwalabagh. This is
the place where infamous Jallianwalabagh massacre occurred in the year 1919 on the occasion
of Vaishakhi. Currently the place has a museum and a memorial of national importance.
From Jallianwalabagh, go to visit the famous Golden Temple or Harmandir Sahib meaning “abode
of God”. It is the most popular tourist place in Amritsar and the world famous shrine
of Sikhism. The place is open house of worship for all men and women. Here the main temple
is surrounded by a man-made Lake which was finished by Guru Ram Das. There are plenty of Bus services available
from Amritsar to Manali which include buses operated by Himachal Road Transport Corporation
or HRTC. You can get both AC and Non AC bus service in this route. Generally these buses
leave from Amritsar in the evening. If you wish you can avail any of these buses from
Amritsar to reach Manali. The bus will reach Manali early in the morning on 3rd day of
your tour. Time taken will be around 12-13 hours.

box below. Day-3
If you want to go to Manli by a reserved car then start your journey early in the morning
on 3rd day from Amritsar. Manali is around 400km away from Amritsar and it will take
around 10-11 hours to reach Manali from Amritsar by a reserved car.
Upon reaching Manali take rest for the day. Day-4
On 4th day of your tour go for a local sightseeing tour around Manali.
kj First go to visit the beautiful village Gulaba.
The village is on the way to Rohtang Pass. The place is famous for scenic beauty. Here
you may enjoy horse riding. From here go to visit Solang Valley. Here
you can enjoy adventure sports like Skating, zorbing, etc. Next go to visit a scenic village Kothi at
the bottom of Rohtang Pass. From Kothi visit the sole amusement park of
Manali Him Valley Park and enjoy various activities here.
From HimValley Park go to visit Nehru Kund. This is a natural spring originated from Bhrigu
Lake. Day-5
On day-5, first go to visit Hamta Pass. This high altitude grassland is famous for breath-taking
beauty. Next go to visit Pandu Ropa. This is small
beautiful grassland at the bottom of the hill. Next go to visit the most famous natural hot
spring of Manali Vashisht Bath. The water of this hot spring is believed to have medicinal
values. There is also a temple beside this hot spring.
From Vashisht Bath go to visit the Hindu Shrine dedicated to sage Manu – the Manu Temple.
From Manu Temple go to visit the most popular tourist attraction of Manli- Hadimba Devi
Temple. The temple is dedicated to Hidimba Devi, wife of second Pandav Bhima, who was
a famous figure of epic Mahabharata. The temple is surrounded by scenic Cedar forest. From here go to visit Manali Van Bihar. It
is Nature Park and you can enjoy boating here. Next go to visit Manali Monastery.
In the evening you can enjoy some shopping in the famous Manali Mall.
Day-6 On day-6 morning, start your tour towards
Shimla from Manali. Shimla is around 250 km away from Manali and it will take around 8
hours to reach Shimla from Manali. However, since we will visit some tourist places of
Kullu on the way, it will take around 9 hours to reach Shimla in our case.
On your way first visit the beautiful hot spring at Manikaran.
Next visit one of the famous Shawl industries of Kullu.
Upon reaching Shimla check in to your hotel and take some rest.
Day-7 On day -7 morning go for local sightseeing
in Shimla. First visit Jakhoo Temple. It is famous Hindu
Shrine dedicated to Lord Hanuman. This beautiful Temple houses a giant 108 feet tall statue
of Lord Hanuman established in the year 2010. Next visit green valley. Green valley is a
scenic view point from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the pine clad mountain
ranges. From Green Valley go to visit Kufri. The parking
space of Kufri is a little ahead of the fun park. From here you have to take a horse ride
to reach the sightseeing point. The charges for a horse ride is Rs500 per person and there
is an additional road tax of Rs20. At Kufri, you can enjoy various adventure
activities and can get a spectacular views of the surrounding mountain ranges. The package
cost for all the adventure activities here is between Rs 200 and Rs 300.
After returning from Kufri spend some time at the famous Shimla Mall. It is the most
happening place of the town and this is the place where you can indulge your shopping
spree. Next visit the Ridge. The place is well known
for the breath-taking views of the surrounding mountains. The place also houses some noteworthy
shops and buildings. Next go to the Shimla Christ church. In the
evening, the church is lightened up and looks like a glorious castle.
Day-8 On day -8 morning, first visit the famous
Shimla Kali Bari. It is a temple dedicated to Hindu Goddess Kali. From the temple ground
you can get a spectacular views of the surroundings. After visiting the Kali Bari Temple head back
to the Shimla station and take Himalayan Mountain Railway to go to Kalka for departure.
